Here are some of the causes, groups and charities that Ed supports.

Comic Relief Red Nose Day

Since 1985, Comic Relief has been helping vulnerable people in the UK and around the world through fundraising exercises such as Red Nose Day and Sport Relief. The money raised helps to fund projects in 70 countries around the world, and helps to support more than 15,000 projects in the UK.

In 2015 Ed visited Uganda for Comic Relief as part of the The Great Comic Relief Bake-off. He also participated in Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, and Pointless Celebrities.

The British Humanist Association

The BHA is made up of people who see to live ethical lives based on reason and humanity and works to promote a secular state where everyone is treated equally regardless of their religious beliefs.

Ed has participated in several BHA campaigns.

Amnesty International

This campaigning organisation works to protect the human rights of people all over the world, regardless of political or religious affiliation. It has always been popular with writers and performers because of its emphasis on freedom of speech and expression.

Console

Based in Ireland, Console provides a number of services to those affected by suicide, including bereavement counselling and awareness raising.
